Definition of zigzag twill:
The direction of the twill line of any continuous twill changes direction at a convenient time, i.e. after a certain number of threads, and the twill formed in a zigzag or wavy effect on fabric is called zigzag twill. Zigzag twill is made by combining S twill and Z twill. https://bdfabric.com/basic-textile-design-for-woven-cloth/
Zigzag twill definition features classification structure-Features of zigzag twill:
1. It is a modified form of continuous twill.
2. Zigzag twill is formed by changing the speed of the twill lines.
3. Changing the direction of the twill lines horizontally creates a horizontal zigzag twill and when changed vertically creates a vertical zigzag twill.
4. In horizontal zigzag twill the warp yarn is double the weft and in vertical zigzag twill, the warp yarn is half the weft.
5. This twill is created by a combination of S-twill and Z-twill.
6. Drafting is pointed in the case of horizontal zigzag twill and straight in the case of vertical twill.

Zigzag twill definition features classification structure-Classification of zigzag twill:
Zigzag twill can be divided into two types depending on the change of direction.
(A) Horizontal zigzag twill.
(b) Vertical zigzag twill.
(a) Horizontal zigzag twill:
A horizontal zigzag twill is formed by changing the motion of the twill line of the twill horizontally to form a horizontal zigzag twill.
Structure of horizontal zigzag twill:
1. In this twill design, double the horizontal direction with double the number of threads.
2. Usually the change of twill direction in the horizontal direction begins when the main continuous twill repeat is finished. A repeat of the main twill is usually made up of a continuous pattern of the main twill with as many threads as there are in the weft.
3. Then, after the twill line of continuous twill reaches the bar line, it changes direction again and goes down.
4. The twill line creates a point at the point of return.
5. Drafting is a pointed draft.
(B) Vertical zigzag twill:
A vertical zigzag twill is formed by changing the motion of the twill lines of the twill in the twill consisting of twice the number of warp yarns in the repeat to form a vertical zigzag twill.
Structure of vertical zigzag twill:
1. In this twill design, the vertical direction is doubled with the weft yarn being double the amount of yarn that will be warp.
2. Usually the vertical twill direction change begins when the main continuous twill repeat is completed. A repeat of the main twill is usually made of a continuous main twill design with the same number of threads.
3. Then the twill line of the continuous twill changes direction again after touching the bar line on the right side. Facing the left, the twill line returns to the upper left side.
4. The twill line creates a point at the point of return.
5. Drafting is a straight draft.
