Colors that are created differently from primary, secondary, and tertiary colors are called modifications of color. Colors can be modified in the following three ways:
1. By mixing with black color.
3. By mixing with another color.
1. What is modification of color in textile industries-By mixing with black color:
When a color is mixed with black color, the resulting tone changes. Shades of color is produced when a color is mixed with black color in different proportions. In this case, the tone of the color darker than the normal color is called a shade. Here a scale of shade is created. https://bdfabric.com/contrast-of-color-its-definition-and-classification/
2. What is modification of color in textile industries-By mixing with white color:
When a color is mixed with white color, the resulting tone changes. Tints of color are produced when a color is mixed with white color in varying proportions. Tints are colors that are lighter than normal colors. There is a scale of color tones from lightest to darkest. https://bdfabric.com/importance-and-classification-of-textile-design/
3. By mixing with another color:
Mixing one color with another will cause a change in the hue. The amount of change in hue is determined by the ratio in which the colors are mixed. Mixing red with a little blue will produce a deep red hue. Again, a little yellow mixed with red will make the hue bright red. And the change in hue can be determined with the help of the mixing ratio. For example, in a mixture of yellow and blue, if the amount of yellow is high, the hue produced will be Yellowish green. If the amount of blue in this mixture is high, then the hue will be bluish green.
