What is creel in textile spinning:
Table of Contents
Introduction:
A creel is a shelf or rack with a bobbin holder for hanging a roving bobbin. From here the roving enters the drafting zone. Zigzag, regular or open rack or shelf arranged in various ways to provide feeding material rovings. The method by which the roving bobbins are attached to the various creel of the ring frame is called creeling. Creel roving bobbins are arranged in such a way that each roving bobbin can rotate freely separately and single, roving can enter the drafting zone with light tension. There are different types of creel. https://bdfabric.com/principle-of-ring-spinning-frame/
1. Regular creel
2. Open Creel
3. Block Creel
1. What is creel in textile spinning-Regular Creel:
Usually, 2 or more boards are arranged in rows at different levels. Such as Center creel Board, Middle creel Board, Top creel Board, and Bottom creel Board. 1 set with center and top board and 1 set with center and bottom creel. https://bdfabric.com/functions-of-the-ring-spinning-frame/

2. What is creel in textile spinning-Open Creel:
Roving bobbins are arranged in a special way so that mechanical cleaning of different parts of the spinning frame can be done easily through the flow of air through the blower. This type of creel is called open creel. A vertical supporting rod is inserted in the middle position with the creel paste so that two horizontal cross arms are attached. These arms are attached to the vertical rod according to the English letter “T” so that the ring does not cause any difficulty in movement in the frame. The “T” is fitted with a specially made clamp that allows movement from one end of the frame to the other.
3. Block Creel:
The number of short frame spindles is 480 or 504 and the number of long frame spindles is 980 or 1008. 5 to 10 more than the number of spindles is required for hanging in roving bobbin creel. If a roving bobbin with roving of the same length is hung on the creel, then the roving bobbin will also suddenly end up in a lot at once, making it necessary to turn off the machine and change the roving bobbin. As a result, production is low and downward. Block creel is needed to get rid of this condition. In the block creel agenda, total divides the number of creel into different groups, placing roving bobbins of the same length in the creel of the same group.
For example –
500 yards roving is used in 1st group or block.
Similar 2nd group or block 600 yards length roving is used.
And 3rd group or block 900 yards roving is used.
As a result, roving bobbins will never end together and the production of ring frames will increase.
Block crawling systems have the following advantages.
1. It is possible to reduce the machine stoppage.
2. Time is saved.
3. Labor is saved.
4. Creel operation is easy.
