Wastage of draw frame machine:

Definition of wastage::

In spinning mills, waste, dust, sand, naps, small fibers, etc. are found to be wasted by various machines while preparing yarn. It is called wastage. Some of these wastes are recycled and some of the wastes that are not usable are later sold in lots. https://bdfabric.com/nylon-fabric-printing-by-procinal-and-disperse-dyes/

Wastage produced in draw frame:

The following waste is generated in the draw-frame

1. Sliver wastage

2. Roller wastage

3. Dropping wastage

4. Sweeping wastage

5. Numofil wastage

1. Sliver wastage:

The need for end and re-insertion of the sliver at the feed and delivery end of the drawing machine or part of the sliver is wasted if the sliver is torn. This is the Sliver wastage.

2. Roller wastage:

During the drawing machine for various reasons, the fibers get stuck on the surface of the roller, which the machine operator shuts off the machine and cleans. This is Roller wastage.

3. Dropping wastage:

Wastage of draw frame machine. If the amount of short fiber in the processed sliver is high, the fiber will fall around the machine and it’s called dropping wastage.

4. Sweeping wastage:

Sweeping wastage so that the wastage lying on the floor inside the machine around the drawing machine is collected by the sweeper.

5. Numofil wastage:

Numofil wastage is the waste found in Numofil box in the drawing frame.

Draw Frame Machine

The amount of waste produced in draw frame:

# Sliver wastage = 0.2%

# Roller wastage = 0.1%

# Dropping wastage = 0.05 %

# Sweeping wastage = 0.05%

The factors for wastage control in draw frame:

# Regularity of feed material

# Equal draft distribution

# Control of Humidification

# Strict supervision

# Efficiency of labor

# Regularity of feed material:

Feeding a balanced sliver drawing frame will reduce sliver breaking rate and control wastage.

# Equal draft distribution:

If the draft distribution of the drafting zone of the drawing frame is balanced, the wastage of drawing will be less.

# Control of humidification:

According to the international agreement, the relative humidity is considered to be 65%. If humidification is controlled, waste will be less.

# Strict supervision:

Strict supervision reduces the rate of the waste.

# Efficiency of labor:

Waste is reduced depending on the sincerity of the worker.
