Preparation of jute and silk fabric for printing:

Preparation of jute fabric:

The useful manufacturing process of jute cloth printing is very different from that of cotton cloth. Because there is a lot of waste in this cloth. Jute usually contains Hemicellulose, Lignin, Color pigment, and Religious as waste products. Jute cloth is scoured to make it useful for printing. As a result, its impurities are removed. However, jute fiber is more active in alkali solutions than cotton. This is done by adding mild alkali sodium carbonate as a scouring agent and boiling agent with boiling for 2 to 3hours at a temperature of 800C to 110°C and then adding acetic acid. Finally, it is washed with water, the waste is removed.

However, in that case, half bleach is done without Full bleach. When the fabric is bleached, the weight of the jute is reduced a lot. This removes the natural color of the fabric. Jute is first bleached with sodium chloride (NaCIO2) and then with hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). The cloth is then washed first with hot water and then twice with cold water.

Preparation of silk fabric:

To make silk useful for dyeing and printing, it is necessary to remove its waste. Silk contains 20 to 25 percent silk gum or sericin as a waste product, which covers the fiber. Apart from this, some of them are wax Substances and color pigments also sink as waste. To get rid of this sericin and wax, Silk is degummed with soap or synthetic detergent. Degumming is done at a temperature of 90°C to 95°C while maintaining PH for 2 hours. As a result, waste is removed from the silk, and bleaching is not required. If bleaching is required in any case, bleaching is done by hydrogen peroxide. However, silk is never bleached by hypo chloride. It is then used for silk printing.
