The amount of twisted yarn is not the same everywhere. Usually, there is more twist in thin areas of yarn and less twist in thick areas. Therefore, the sample that will be taken to measure the twist from a long thread should be taken at least a 1-yard interval. That means at least 1 yard of yarn should be omitted while doing two tests side by side. At least 20 of the 10 yarn packages need to be tested. Test samples are usually taken 10 inches.

2. Withdrawal of yarn from the package:

The yarn should be removed from the yarn package in such a way that it does not affect the yarn. The examination has shown that if the yarn is pulled from the side of the package, the twist of the yarn will change, but if it is pulled from one side, the twist of the yarn will not change. Care must also be taken to ensure that the yarn is handled less when transferring the yarn from the package to the testing device. So when pulling the yarn out of the package, it should be held outside the test length.
