1. Thread Strength:

2. Imperfection:

3. Finish:

Yarn finish means lubricant. The lubricant also helps the yarn to move easily through the needle eye and various guides of the machine. The amount of lubricant in the yarn can range from 3 to 15%. The amount of this lubricant should be the same rate in each yarn package of a lot. Otherwise, there may be various problems while sewing.

4. Color of yarn:

The sewing thread should have color balance. The yarn must match any color pattern and the color of the yarn of the same lot should not vary too much, which may affect the quality of the fabric.

5. Package density of yarn:

The density of the yarn should not vary from one package or cone to another. Frequent adjustment of yarn tension will reduce the efficiency and productivity of the machine.

6. Winding:

The yarn should be spread evenly in the yarn package under proper tension. Otherwise, the yarn may be torn from time to time due to entanglement in the yarn coming from the package during sewing. As a result, both production and product quality may suffer.

7. Yardage:

The length of yarn in a yarn package must be within (+ -) 2% of the specified length. Otherwise, the package may be canceled on trial.
