Cellulose fiber topping with the basic dye

Spread the love

Today I will show you how to Cellulose fiber topping with the basic dye:

All the fibers that are obtained from plants i.e. trees, bamboo, etc. are called cellulose fibers. That means cellulose fiber is found in our nature. Although there is no cellulose addiction to basic dyes, cellulose addiction to direct dyes is very strong. So after dyeing the cellulose fiber by direct dye, topping is done by the basic dye. https://bdfabric.com/factors-affecting-the-absorption-of-direct-dye/

The combination of these two types of dyestuff results in a chemical fusion between the molecules of both types of dye. And large-sized dye molecules are formed. Thus the fabric dyed by the direct dye is topped by the basic dye. As a result, dyeing by the color created by the mixture of both colors gives a brighter shade to the fabric. This method is called topping. This increases the washing fastness of the direct dye. https://bdfabric.com/dyeing-theory-of-direct-dyes/

Recipe:

Basic Dye → 0.1% (based on substance)

Acetic acid → 1 – 3%

Temperature→ 49 ° C – 60 ° C

Time → 30 minutes

After dyeing, the dyed product is lightly washed. The product is then treated at 49 ° C – 60 ° C with 0.1% basic dye and 1 – 3% acetic acid for 30 minutes. The product is then washed. This increases the washing fastness of Direct Dye.
